Summer Opportunity & Scholarship Information

Summer Opportunity

Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy is offering Bulldog Pharmacy Camp the week of June 21 to 26, 2020 for high school students that are interested in investigating a career as a pharmacist.  We would like to invite you to participate in Bulldog Pharmacy Camp.  During the week of pharmacy camp, you will experience hands-on learning about health careers in pharmacy, participate in tours of local health care facilities and local pharmacies, participate in compounding activities and hands-on demonstrations in the College of Health Sciences Learning and Simulation Laboratories. Students who attend the camp will have the unique opportunity to spend time on the Samford campus and experience campus life, spend time with pharmacy professors, and have a lot of time to interact with other students also interested in careers in pharmacy.

The camp is open to rising high school juniors, seniors and entering college freshmen. Selection for the camp is based on high school academic performance and your interest in the professions of pharmacy.   Attached is a flyer that will provide you with important information regarding this exciting opportunity.

Information about the camp and the camp application can be found at https://www.samford.edu/pharmacy/bulldog-pharmacy-camp.  If you have not taken the ACT or SAT, you will need me to send an email to pharmacycamp@samford.edu stating that you are applying for camp and have not taken the test yet.

Space is limited so please apply early.  The application deadline is February 1, 2020. If you have any questions, please call 205-726-2008 or email pharmacycamp@samford.edu.
